A concept film poster design for a Slavic mythology fantasy short — dark, epic, and built to hang next to an A24 poster without flinching.
APPROACH A cinematic visual language built around tension, atmosphere, and the particular dread of something ancient waking up. No folk patterns. No red corsets. No obvious Slavic iconography. Just a poster that communicates myth, darkness, and the quiet horror of a curse that has been waiting for centuries — through composition, colour, and typography alone.
VISION A complete poster system — one main key art and two alternative versions — designed to feel at home in an arthouse cinema, a film festival programme, and a mood board for the next generation of Eastern European fantasy filmmaking.

Slavic mythology has a visual cliché problem. Most fantasy productions set in this world reach immediately for the same toolkit — folk embroidery, red and white colour palettes, rustic lettering, imagery that feels more like a tourism poster than a film. For a project with the ambition of Zoria, that wasn't an option.
THE GOAL create a poster that communicates the weight of Slavic myth without a single obvious reference — one that feels earned, cinematic, and completely its own.

Zoria, a poster identity that doesn't illustrate the film — it conjures it.
SOLUTION A complete poster system built around deep blacks, the cold burn of crimson and rose, and a typographic presence as old and unhurried as the curse at the centre of the story.

Zoria was built with one belief: that a great film poster doesn't sell a story — it makes you need to know how it ends.
